I’ve been suffering from a large case of writers block, in case you couldn’t tell by my lame updates and general avoidance of writing anything that has any meaning.
I’m not sure if I can blame it on sleep deprivation (Henry is sleeping through the night now, for the most part, but I guess I’m still not sleeping as soundly as usual), being generally busy (we have a schedule but it’s nothing that is too terribly time consuming), laziness (or, more so, preferring to not use my brain when I get a free minute), or something else. I just haven’t ‘felt it’ for a while.
But I’m going to give it a go and see if I can’t hammer out a post for you. The last few posts I’ve sat down to write have been started but not finished…
Since I last checked in, Henry was baptized, we made a trip to Charleston for my nephew Connor’s baptism, I’ve stopped breastfeeding, I’m making it to the gym around 4 days a week, and we are still getting the hang of things in general.
First up, Henry’s baptism. I didn’t take nearly enough pictures of this, but we have enough for proof that it did happen 🙂
A cute one from the day – a Granddaddy with all of his grand babies. Henry and Connor look like they are doing the Robot dance and Brooke looks like she’s pretending to be a monster. Ah those little ones 🙂
Our trip to Charleston for Connors baptism was great, of course! Lots of fun family time.
Cutest cousins ever!
It was a great weekend in Charleston (as it always is) – I’m so glad I finally took some pictures (when I remembered) of everyone with the kiddos. We can’t wait to get back!
I made it to the Box with Heidi in Charleston and we busted out this Saturday Monster Mash workout, courtesy of CrossFit Charleston. I wanted to die. The numbers on the top left basically mean that I almost died. But somehow pulled through and was guilted by everyone else in class to finish the 50 burpees (I only got 6 in with the 30 minute time cap).
I’m not happy with where I am right now, physically. I have stopped breastfeeding (my supply went bye-bye around 12 weeks PP) and am committed to the gym at least 4 days a week, if not more. I’m ready for some changes and to get back to where I was a year ago. I know it will take time, but if you know me, you know that I am incredibly impatient. I know it will happen, but boy is it a big challenge.
We’ve also been taking lots of walks and trying to stick to the ‘y in the morning and walk in the evening’ schedule. It seems to be working and at least its a lot of exercise I’m getting in 🙂 Plus pushing this ginormous stroller is a workout in and of itself…
Someone turned 3 months old this past week – how did that go so quickly!!
I cannot get enough of this adorable face.
I hope to be back soon with more posts, as long as I can find the time (this took me literally all day to write…the laptop is super enticing to a nosey toddler..)
