Today is my last day at Moseley Architects. Wow. It’s incredibly bittersweet. As you might have read in my bi-weekly B2 post, I have been here for 3 years, and though I don’t think any job is always ‘perfect’, this one has been closer than any other job I’ve ever had.
I have had the honor to work alongside these ladies who’ve made every day more enjoyable than it otherwise would be (because, you know, work). There is definitely something to be said about having a job that you actually enjoy going to every day, and with people, especially so many women working together, that you get along with. I will miss these people tremendously!
My marketing group is super sweet and got me a little parting gift – it couldn’t be more perfect! I can’t wait until I can squeeze into that tank top 🙂
And in turn, I brought a parting gift of my own (which, in all honesty, was a little selfish, because donuts…) but I told them it was my last contribution to the Moseley Architects waistline. And really, if mine is expanding, theirs should too 😉
So without getting all mushy and sad, I know that this is not the last time I’ll see these fine folks (I plan on turning up every so often just to check up on things…I know this place couldn’t keep running without me…) Just know that if I’ve worked with you in the last 3 years, I’m sending you a big THANK YOU for making my time so awesome and making me feel like a contributing member of society, even if some days all I did was look at Facebook and Buzzfeed (sort of – don’t worry, I’ll still send links of cute baby animals and goats talking like humans).
I’ll miss you all, and just please don’t laugh and say “I told you so” when I come crawling back, pleading for my old job back 🙂
