So, 39 weeks, and we’re still here. I guess I can’t complain yet, since I haven’t hit my due date yet, but still. I’m just done with being pregnant. On the other hand, life will be 100% flipped upside down once he does arrive so I know I should savor every moment I have right now, but man, I’m just uncomfortable and done. I guess I can’t be pregnant forever, right??
How far along: 39 weeks and 3 days
Baby Size: A watermelon (yeah…tell me about it) (18.9 to 20.9 inches and 6.2-9.2lbs) or watermelon (yep) (19 – 22 inches, 7 lbs) [the first stat is from TheBump.com, the second is from WhatToExpect.com]
Weight gain: 30-ish pounds. Good with me.
Workouts: So I did what I believe are my last 2 CrossFit workouts last week. Thursday was Push Jerk (one rep max) and THIS girl got a PR! A 15b PR! I was stoked.
After that was an AMRAP 6: 20x Double Unders, 10x Pull-ups, then rest 3 minutes, then row 1500m.
I did 50x singles, 10x ring rows, and rowed 1250m. I don’t know what my time was but I was just glad to have finished the workout.
Friday was 5 rounds of 400m run, 20x Box jumps (24″/20″), and 20x Wallballs (20#/14#)
I did 1 round of a 400m row, 20x box step-ups, and 20 wallballs, then 3 more rounds of 200m row, 10 box step ups, and 10 wall balls.
So I decided that I was done after that. I’m having to scale so much and really am just tired and uncomfortable. I made it to 38 weeks and 4 days, I think that is totally acceptable!
Maternity clothes: Yes.
Stretch marks: A couple.
Sleep: Really, really nice. Brooke’s woken up a couple times the past few nice fussing, but has easily gotten herself back to sleep so neither of us have had to get out of bed, which has been awesome. I know this will change very, very soon 🙂
Gender: It’s a BOY!
Movement: Movement now is rolls and a few kicks and punches here and there. He’s running out of room for sure.
Food cravings: Peanut butter, chocolate, donuts, all the bad stuff.
Aversions: Nothing that I can tell.
Labor Signs: I’ve had some timeable contractions a few nights but they always peter out when I go to fall asleep. Lots of Braxton Hicks, some painful, nothing consistent though. Going to the chiropractor today to get adjusted (and hopefully get things going?) and a 30 minute massage (yes…hopefully they’ll hit some pressure points) so we’ll see if that gets anything going!
What I miss: Being comfortable. Being able to put on my tennis shoes without holding my breath.
Symptoms: Same ole.
Nursery: Well, I think we have done pretty much everything we want for now. There is still some straightening up and what not, but he won’t use the nursery for several weeks anyway…
Belly Button in or out? In.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Mood: I’ll admit that I’ve been a little snippy the past few days, but I mean, who can blame me…right??
Best moment this week: Having some downtime to get stuff done around town and around the house while Brooke is well taken care of at daycare and Robert is at work. This whole not working thing isn’t so bad, not yet anyway 🙂
