This weekend was a super busy, fun packed weekend! We began fairly early on Saturday morning with some living room play time – fun fact: I played on this rocking chair when I was Brooke’s age 🙂 BIG thanks to our Aunt Ba for sending that along – we love it!
We also played a game of ‘dump out all the miniature hair ties and pick them up again and dump them again and pick them up again and….you get it….
Saturday afternoon, my boss and her family had their annual BBQ that we attended. The BBQ was smoked by her husband and was SO GOOD.
Brooke had a grand time playing with the kiddos, especially Miss McKinley!
We partied hard and late into the night (approximately 6:30pm, hah) and took the little lady home for some zzz’s (and, lets be real, mama fell asleep on the couch pretty early too…)
Sunday was ALSO lots of fun and jam packed with stuff to do! We started by helping daddy rake the leaves and mow the lawn.
Stout LOVES playing in the leaves and Brooke LOVED watching Stout run around like a maniac.
Daddy also put Brooke to work as the leaf compressor. She did a pretty good job.
Then we got ready for our 8th Annual (8???) Friendsgiving! And rested a bit…at least some of us did…
We also practiced our Touchdown dance. 🙂
And drank orange juice which is SUPER sour. 🙂
Friendsgiving was hosted by the lovely and wonderful Melissa and Scott. It’s so great how things have changed over the years.

This years group:
Over the years, we’ve added 7 kiddos to the table, and next year, it is crazy to think that there will be 3 more (at least!)
We are so blessed to have such a wonderful group of friends to share our lives with and have so much fun with! Brooke is one lucky girl to have so many great kiddo friends, aunts, and uncles 🙂 And I can’t believe this was the 8th year of Friendsgiving!
Of course I didn’t get a picture of all of the food, but trust me, it was all amazing!! I’m friends with some great cooks 🙂
