Happy Monday everyone!
I hope you all had a lovely weekend! Ours was pretty low-key, thanks to Brooke’s hand-foot-mouth disease (it really is just a virus…disease sounds so permanent).
Friday, Robert made a yummy dinner of an awesome Apple and Gouda Chicken Sausage (from Whole Foods), Pancetta Green Beans, and Harvard Beets.
Brooke’s fever broke late Friday/early Saturday so we hung out around the house on Saturday, minus a few errands. Lots of snuggle time and reading books. She LOVES books. She’ll bring you a book and yell “MAH!” (which means ‘more’ -which means, ‘read this to me now!!’) OVER AND OVER. We’ve already memorized Count to Ten with a Mouse (and she always kisses the mouse and the mole), Dear Zoo, Doggies, and the Hungry Caterpillar.
I had a hankering for muffins on Saturday morning so I made these Blueberry Zucchini Muffins from Sugar N Spice Gals. I mixed everything together and the batter was SUPER thick so I was worried, but they actually turned out really good. I loved being able to incorporate zucchini, since we have had a plethora of it!
