(I meant to post this on Friday but, well…forgot…so here it is, on Sunday…whoops)
To keep myself on track throughout this pregnancy, and to keep you all in the know (and knowing I have to keep you all posted, it will push me to keep on keeping on), I’m going to start doing a Friday Workout Round-Up, where I go through what workouts I did the past week. Should be fun right?? Oh lets hope so.
In Gatlinburg (and I promise I have a post coming about that soon) we did a 5.5 mile hike to Rainbow Falls. It took about 3.5 hours. We took Brooke with us in the Kelty backpack (kind of like this) my sister gave us and she LOVED IT! I was amazed, but she did so, so good. We passed her around (and by we, I mean Robert started, and passed her off to all the other guys…I never had to carry her) and she had a ball. I wore my Heart Rate Monitor and it showed that I burned nearly 2,300 calories…WOW. It was a good hike indeed!
Sunday – Rest day
Car all day driving back to Richmond
Monday – CrossFit
Low Bar Back Squat – 3 rounds of 6 squats – I used 105lbs
6 rounds of:
3x Power Cleans (135#/95#)
5x KB Swings (1.5p/1p)
9x Box Jumps (24″/20″)
I did this workout Rx minus the Toes to Bar – I did knees to chest (or so). I don’t remember my time…but I finished 🙂
Burned 676 calories in 77 minutes (I start the HRM when class starts, and stop it when I get back to work to change)
Tuesday – CrossFit
10 Minutes to find a heavy single Power clean, then 5×2 @ 80% – I got to 105. I tried really hard for 115 but I couldn’t make it happen. So I did 5×2 at 85lbs.
AMRAP (as many rounds as possible in) 12 (minutes):
4x Power Cleans (95#/65#)
6x Push Press (95#/65#)
8x OH Lunges (95#/65#)
I used 55lbs because of the OH lunges, which ended up just being front rack lunges. (everytime I type lunge, I type lunch. I just did it again.)
I got 5 rounds plus the power cleans and push presses in the last round.
Burned 650 calories in 67 minutes
Wednesday – Rest day
Thursday – CrossFit
25 Thrusters (95#/65#)
25 Sandbag Get-ups
25 Pendlay Rows (95#/65#)
25 Over the bar Burpees
For this one, Level 2 was the above. Level 1 was the same stuff except 15 of everything instead of 25. I ended up doing Level 1 after Thrusters because my heartrate was getting a little too high for comfort and I knew I needed to slow down, and if I didn’t want to be there for 2 hours, I needed to lower the quantity. It is what it is. I finished in 26:09 using 55lbs.
Burned 735 calories in 65 minutes
Friday – Rest day/walk
