Half a sick day, more pull ups, and Brooke being cute

I left work a little bit early yesterday not feeling so hot. I've got yet another cold (I guess that is what happens when you've got a little carrier monkey drooling all over you).  Robert had all day off yesterday for MLK day and he took Brooke shopping for some new fishies.  She LOVES the fish tank.

She's obsessed with it.  It's adorable.

Of course one of them (the algae eater) already died, but luckily the pet store has a return policy. Unfortunately that means we  have to keep his dead little body in the fridge until we can make it over there. Robert hollered to me last night that the fish was next to the milk. Super.

She also spent some time playing in the floor with a toy from her Aunt Melissa and Uncle Scott!


Yesterdays eats were pretty good. I didn't make it to CF yesterday because of feeling like crap, but I trudged through the snow (hah!) and made it today.  We don't actually have any snow yet. Who knows if we will. Good thing all the schools are closed though.

This one was a joy.  First, we worked up to a heavy squat-clean thruster, which can be seen here.  Then we scaled that weight back a bit for the conditioning portion of the day.

So that was super fun to do 42 times, plus however many times it took to get to the max.

That's right - tan band!  Not only that, but I moved down even FURTHER to the green band!

I don't have photographic evidence of the green band yet, but I made 2 of the folks in my class watch so that counts :)

I also don't have pictures of the box jumps, because, well, they're box jumps, and I've been doing step ups because of the foot.  Super exciting, I know.

My time was 16:15.  Not too bad.  My Squat Clean Thruster weight was way less than they called for (I used 25lbs for the 14x2 reps and 35 for the 7x2 reps) but I'm okay with that. I took sudafed this morning and was feeling a little light headed working up to a max (just got to 55lbs) so I took it a little easier than normal.
