1. Yesterday, the girls in my Marketing group and I dressed up for our company’s annual Halloween bash, and we were Duck Dynasty. We won 1st place again this year, making it the 2nd year in a row of holding onto the top spot. If you remember, last year a much smaller group of us were the Kardashians. This year, our group is a bit bigger, so I figured this costume idea would fit the bill. I think we pulled it off, right??
4. A lot of people are fussing about now that Halloween is over the focus is on Christmas, and Thanksgiving gets the shaft. I love Thanksgiving and the food and company of course, but I’m SO looking forward to Christmas this year, as its Brooke’s first Christmas. Obviously it’s her first Thanksgiving too, and we get to celebrate with some amazing people that I am SO excited about, but I’m not mad that people are gearing up for Christmas already. Bring on the tinsel and garland! Brooke may or may not already have several Christmas onesies and sleepers Don’t worry, she also has a “Gobble” onesie for Thanksgiving! I’m ready to decorate. Good thing we never took down our “NOEL” letters on top of our cabinets from last year. It’s been Christmas in our kitchen for all of 2013 I told Robert last weekend we should take them down for the month, since we had the ladder in the kitchen from installing our new range hood. He didn’t go for it, hah! (had to install a new range hood as the door on our microwave broke…awesome stuff…but this range hood is AWESOME. Now it’s just time for granite/quartz counters and a backsplash with some paint and we’ll be in business! I still want to paint the cabinets white but Robert said no.)
5. Last Sunday was Robert’s grandma’s birthday (making her Brooke’s GREAT grandma!) We sent them these pictures 🙂
