How is Brooke already 8 weeks old?! How does that happen? She is growing so fast and getting so big..it’s just crazy!
Stats – We haven’t had her 2 month appointment yet (that’s in 2 weeks, so a little late) but I’d venture to guess she’s close to 11lbs. She’s getting really long, but no guesses on what her length is.
Health – She’s still riding the healthy train!
Sleep – I think we are starting to try to get on a schedule, though some days are awesome with eating, playing, then napping, and other days aren’t so great, when she doesn’t want to sleep at all (like yesterday) – those days are exhausting! We will be transitioning her into her crib very soon (Lord give me strength) for night time and I hope she sleeps as well in there as she does in our bed. She slept from 9pm until 2:15am, ate, then slept from about 2:30 until 7:30. So night time has been really great.
Eating – She’s eating around 20 ounces every day (some days a bit more, some days a bit less) – we give her 4oz bottles and let her eat what she wants. Sometimes she’ll chug down all 4 ounces and we’ll give her another one, and she’ll usually decide she’s full half way through the last ounce. Yesterday she ate 2oz every 2 hours (hence the no napping thing) so she’s kind of making her own little schedule with food I think…unless it’s a growth spurt thing…who knows…I just try to go with the flow.
I’m still exclusively pumping and adding just a wee bit of formula to bottles, and it is working great.
What Brooke’s up to – She is full of grins, smiles, and little giggles and I LOVE it!! (ignore the obnoxious mom voice – but girl really does love to be naked, hah!)
Thoughts – I can’t believe Brooke is already 2 months old – it is so crazy how fast the time goes and how big she’s getting! I love all of her new tricks, faces, noises, and everything! She’s becoming so much more interactive and responsive to us – I can’t wait for what the next month will bring!
How’s mom? – Still doing good! On week 3 of the couch to 10k program and it’s going really good. I’m trying to get out at least 4 times per week to either do the program (which is 3 days per week) or walk/jog on my own. Also still doing the squat challenge (today’s a rest day, thank goodness, yesterday was 110 squats…yowch!) and push ups and planks (though I’m not as good with those…still doing 30-40 second planks while I build up my lower back muscles again). We’re trying to put this body back together. I still get amazed everytime I see a picture of myself on how gigantic my boobs are. I’m kind of ready for that part to be over but that would mean no more pumping and I’m not quite ready for that yet. But geez…they’re HUGE!
