After brunch, we noticed a local jewelry store was having some sort of event, so we popped in to see what the fuss was, and turns out, it was a chance to dig in cake and win $24,000 (for a wedding week thing they were having)! We wondered around the store and I made Robert go sign us up for the drawing, since it would be happening soon. They drew 4 names. Imagine my surprise when the DJ said, on the 4th draw, “Okay, how many Katie’s do we have down there??” and I threw my hand in the air. I was the only Katie in the place! They drew my name! SO cool! So I got to go up on this stage and, with 11 other folks, dig around in wedding cake to see if I could proceed to the next level of competition.
Cake hands! I unfortunately did not find the jewel that was needed to go on to the next stage so I was out, but it was fun to dig in the cake! They also had a fun photobooth set up with props and what not, so of course we checked that out!
Melissa and I nailed it. Scott and Robert needed a little bit of direction, it looks like…
The wedding was on a horse farm at sunset and was absolutely gorgeous! I hadn’t seen Rachel in about a year and a half so it was wonderful to see her!
The girls with the beautiful bride!! Seriously, this girl is not only gorgeous, but she does more than anyone else I know and still keeps that wonderful smile on her face – I don’t know how she does it!
