My Symptoms: The past week or so I’ve developed what I’ve heard referred to as the “third trimester spread” – and for lack of a better description, basically feels as if instead of driving my nice, warm, cozy vehicle to work, I instead now commute via horse. It feels like I ride a horse around all day (as cool as that would be…). It’s not incredibly pleasant, and sometimes is accompanied by what they call ‘lightening crotch’ (doesn’t that sound fun!?) where I’ll get a stabbing pain down there due to Lady B shifting, things stretching out, and other exciting transitions! This typically happens when I’m walking for exercise or right when I stand up. It’s so awesome.
Other symptoms are the usual ones, a few headaches here and there, tiredness, all around a bit achy (especially my neck and back) and if I’m on my feet for too long, they get pretty sore too (Robert…are you reading?? my neck, back, and feet hurt. Could you help me out??)
Oh, and the big one. My feet have grown. This was one I was really hoping to avoid. They’ve grown about a half size already and I’m hoping they stop now. All my shoes are snug and my toes are punching out of the ends of most of them. One one hand this isn’t so bad because it means new shoes! On the other hand, it sucks because all of the shoes I currently have don’t fit and I really like most of them! What a pain.
Only 13-ish more weeks of this fun to go! What will I do with myself after that?!
Weight/Belly: Last week was 26 weeks:
Movement: All. the. time. And when she goes – she goes. Sometimes her kicks and jabs are painful. In a few more weeks, I’m thinking/hoping she’ll be running low on room and won’t be able to get as much power behind her assaults. I keep trying to catch her on video but it’s like she knows, kind of like how she stops moving when I want someone to feel her, so rude.
