Several shopping trips later (Target, Home Goods, Marshalls, World Market, and more) we are left with the nearly complete nursery! Just some finishing touches and a glider, which my sister is giving us and my dad is bringing us when he comes for a visit this weekend!
After several demands (and some threats…heather…) I bring you the Nursery Progress Pictures! I know, so exciting right?!
So, Lady B will lay her claim in the room above the garage, which used to be our office/my craft room/junk room. Sadly (or not so sadly) I never got any pictures as it was before, but that’s mainly because it looked like crap.
After cleaning out the junk, moving the craft stuff to the attic (cue sad face…) and relocating the office, this is kind of what we ended up with/started with:
From the doorway looking in. These paint swatches were all no’s.
Standing in front of the double window looking toward the door. This was the paint color I though I wanted. It was super green and not our style at all, so we went with something much lighter.
We had some good friends come over and help us move the rest of the big stuff out (i.e. the sofa) so we were left with a completely clean slate. We found the nursery furniture at Burlington Coat Factory and our friend Brian went with Robert with his truck to pick it all up (thanks Brian!!) I also found the lamps below at Target (the shade is exactly what I had in mind for the coral accent color) Here is what we had with the furniture, paint, and lamps:
Not sure why the color doesn’t show up everywhere well, but the area around the window is a good indication!
Sorry these are dark – told you I was having issues with the lighting in there!
Crib and tall dresser – the cream lamp and shade are not in there, just used that for when we were painting.
He can’t stand not being in pictures 🙂
The folded things on the end of the dresser are burp cloths made by yours truly! I have about 8 more to make but they’ve turned out really well!
