My Symptoms: I’ve had a lull in energy for the past week or so – trying to combat it with some exercise but I have fallen asleep on the couch at night more often the past few weeks than before. Not quite first trimester tired but certainly more tired than I have been! Also, lower back pain. Ugh! I went to the chiropractor yesterday for the first time in a while and got adjusted and will go a couple times every month to stay straight up and down 🙂
Oh and…well…if you think I’m a ‘lady’ this will certainly skew your opinion – so maybe skip reading this part if you want to continue to think of me that way, mmk?…so as I was saying…when you go to the chiropractor, they get you into some interesting positions and move your limbs all around to loosen things up and push on stuff. Okay. Look. As if it isn’t hard enough for a non-pregnant person to not…ahem…’break wind’…in those positions, it’s terribly hard for a pregnant chick. Not only is the Doc pushing on everything, Lady B is in there snickering and pushing on the same shit, just from a different angle. Seriously, you laugh (and I know your laughing), but I damn near broke a sweat trying to be lady-like. Next time we might not have such good luck. Dr. Moran, if you’re reading, I apologize in advance. It just….slipped…
A bit more of a pop, I guess.
You guys were super sweet and helpful with my weight post from last week. I will say I’ve been watching what I eat (for the most part…no one’s perfect) and haven’t gained anything for the past two weeks, so I consider that successful. I am going to try to not be too hard on myself and continue to stay active and watch what I eat, and whatever my body does, it does. If the doctor doesn’t like it, we can talk about after Lady B is here, as long as she is healthy and happy, I’m happy.
Also, please disregard the disgusting-looking oil-hair look I’ve got going on. I read on a blog (a beauty blog) that coconut oil does wonders for hair and makes it super shiny and strong and lustrous. Perhaps I should have read another tutorial? My hair looks like I haven’t washed it in days. I’m sure I did something wrong (it did say to ONLY apply the oil from mid-shaft (heh) to the ends, which I did, but when I wash my hair, my hands automatically go to the roots too, so some got there, and that’s why I look like a hobo today. So yeah. Maybe next time I’ll be more careful? (I know my husband is currently laughing and high-fiving himself because he told me, in so many words, that it was a ridiculous idea – thanks, babe. I was wrong.)
I DID, however, apply some of the oil to my ever-growing and stretching, itchy belly, and that did work wonders. Haven’t had an itch all day!
