Forgive me for the title. It’s been a long week already. And when I thought of it, it made me laugh.
well…that does not look very comfortable. Hopefully Baby B isn’t quite that stuffed in there.
Your baby’s sensory development is exploding! Her brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch. Some research suggests that she may be able to hear your voice now, so don’t be shy about reading aloud, talking to her, or singing a happy tune if the mood strikes you.
Your baby weighs about 8 1/2 ounces and measures 6 inches, head to bottom — about the size of a large heirloom tomato. Her arms and legs are in the right proportions to each other and the rest of her body now. Her kidneys continue to make urine and the hair on her scalp is sprouting. A waxy protective coating called the vernix caseosa is forming on her skin to prevent it from pickling in the amniotic fluid.
My Symptoms: Feeling good! It seems the last of the cold is trying to go away, and other than a few aches and pains (sore back/neck) and being itchy all the time, I’m hanging in there! 🙂
Weight: I’d say around 10-11lbs still. Fine by me!
oh, hello baby bump.
Gender: Still thinking girl – and we find out in 8 days 🙂
Movement: Yes! Mainly after I eat and take the time to sit down and relax afterwards. The past few days after lunch there’s been quite a bit of movement – feels like popcorn popping, or bubbles…it’s hard to describe but pretty cool to feel! And he or she really likes sweets too, because they really act up after a piece of chocolate 😉
Sleep: I was right, I think I jinxed myself. Last night alone I woke up 3 times to pee. The night before that was twice. I have a feeling this symptom might stick around.
Cravings: Still sweets and random fruit. Oh, and grape juice apparently. I bought one of the big containers of Welch’s this weekend and it may or may not already be gone. Oops.
Work Outs: Ok. I swear I’m starting back on body pump next week. This week has SUCKED at work. 3 big deadlines. Enough said.
Goals for next week: Body Pump. Oh and that whole nursery thing – we need to get on that. Oh. And find out that we have a healthy baby (priority 1) and if it is a he or a she (priority 2)!! So can’t wait. Next Thursday can’t come soon enough.
