In case you missed it from last week, baby Brackmann is a little lady Brackmann and we couldn’t be more thrilled 🙂 I mean we as in I am CRAZY excited and Robert is coming around to the idea 🙂 Give him time…
From BabyCenter: Your baby now weighs about three-quarters of a pound and is approximately 10 1/2 inches long — the length of a carrot. You may soon feel like she’s practicing martial arts as her initial fluttering movements turn into full-fledged kicks and nudges. You may also discover a pattern to her activity as you get to know her better. In other developments, your baby’s eyebrows and lids are present now, and if you’re having a girl, her vagina has begun to form as well.
Since little one was 12oz at our appointment last week, I’d venture to say she’s closer to a pound than 3/4 of a pound…
My Symptoms: Still dealing with the Round Ligament Pain, headaches, and baby-mama emotions, but I guess I need to learn to deal with it, huh? 19 more weeks of this fun stuff, then the real fun begins! Oh BUT on a good note I’ve been told several times that my hair looks fantastic so there’s that…at least my hair is benefiting – my face? not so much.
Weight: No wonder I feel like a cow. I’m on the up-and-up – in weight of course…I’m just not even going to go there. It ain’t pretty.
21 week bump. moo.
and for shits and giggles – here’s a side by side…that’s some progress, if you ask me…
Gender: It’s a little she-bean!! (i knew it i knew it i knew it i knew it)
Movement: Little lady Brackmann has been all sorts of wiggles over here. And contrary to the image above, her legs are facing outward and she’s apparently riding a bike and or dancing like her daddy in there (hahahaha ohh I kill me…)
Sleep: I have a feeling my nights of not getting up have come to an end. Waking up with the RLP, waking up to pee, waking up and not being able to shut off my brain. It’s the beginning of the end, isn’t it? And clearly I’m losing sleep, as if you couldn’t tell from the tone of this particular blog…
Cravings: If you saw my snack drawer at work, you’d see that I have a plethora of healthy, sensible snack choices to satiate me during the day.
Haha if you believed that, you don’t know me very well…excuse me while I grab a gumball…
Work Outs: You won’t believe it. I did body pump on Monday (go me!) AND I’m going again tonight! Now I just need to work some cardio in the mix and I’ll be good to go…I attribute my weight gain to the muscles I’m ripping.
Best part of the week: You won’t believe this either! Not only did we paint the nursery (oh yes, we did) BUT we also bought AND ASSEMBLED furniture for our little lady nugget! We had quite the productive weekend/beginning of the week, and I LOVE what we have so far! I’ll take pictures this weekend and give you the run down on all things baby nursery – so exciting, right?!?
Oh, and finding out my suspicions were right and we are having a tiny me was pretty freaking awesome too!
Goals for next week: I guess we need to get going on a registry sometime soon…depends on when I can coax Robert into Babies R Us…many compare it to hell on earth. Ours is especially special because it’s a Babies R Us and Toys R Us jumbled into one – holy craziness. Oh and I need to make some decisions on decor for the nursery (priorities!) And names. I want to pick a name. I have a sneaking suspicion that Robert wants to pick one too, but will want to keep it a secret from all you nosey folks. I’ll keep you posted on that.
Also, a fun goal now is to come up with the most creative names to refer to our little cupcake – Everybody Loves Raymond style 🙂
Lastly – we get to see our ladybug again tomorrow because she wouldn’t cooperate last time! They said she was being hard headed – I say she was just being super sweet because she knew her mommy and daddy wanted to see her again!
holy shit – mommy and daddy….that’s us…??
