Fitting, since I’ve been craving fruit:
According to BabyCenter:
Your growing baby now measures about 4 inches long, crown to rump, and weighs in at about 2 1/2 ounces (about the size of an apple). She’s busy moving amniotic fluid through her nose and upper respiratory tract, which helps the primitive air sacs in her lungs begin to develop. Her legs are growing longer than her arms now, and she can move all of her joints and limbs. Although her eyelids are still fused shut, she can sense light. If you shine a flashlight at your tummy, for instance, she’s likely to move away from the beam. There’s not much for your baby to taste at this point, but she is forming taste buds. Finally, if you have an ultrasound this week, you may be able to find out whether your baby’s a boy or a girl! (Don’t be too disappointed if it remains a mystery, though. Nailing down your baby’s sex depends on the clarity of the picture and on your baby’s position. He or she may be modestly curled up or turned in such a way as to “hide the goods.”)
My Symptoms: I’m in week 15 so symptoms are supposed to be gone at this point. Phew good thing 😉 So pretty much still feeling the same as always.
Weight: 9 lbs…I’m good with that...Here are some pictures…I know you’ve been just dying to see:
I think something like 10 weeks….
12 weeks (always after lunch)
15 weeks…and I’ll be honest…I was trying to suck in since it was after lunch…no dice…
Don’t you love my camera case though!? Yeah we suck at taking weekly pictures so the bathroom photo-op will have to suffice.
Gender: Still totally on team Girl. I’m ready to find out. 5 weeks to go! — same as last week 🙂
Maternity Clothes: Totally. There are still non-maternity things that I make work (like my colorful work pants that I ‘button’ with a hair tie and wear long tank tops with) but maternity pants are fantastic. And I’ve learned that just because something buttons and zips in the morning does not mean it will stay comfortable throughout the day, especially after eating Panera Mac & Cheese for lunch.
Movement: Still not sure if I feel Bracks or not…there are times I think I do…but I’m not going to get too excited until I’m pretty sure about it 🙂
Sleep: I’m actually able to stay up past 9 lately, which is pretty huge! Robert commented on it last night when we were watching Modern Family (he told Stout, who was sleeping, that he was surprised Mama was still awake) But I sleep like a champ most nights (until the dog wakes up at 1 needed to go outside, what the heck is that about?!)
Cravings: Fruit fruit fruit fruit fruit. I have my own mini fruit stand at work now, and today have already had a clementine and a banana, and I have a pear waiting on me for later. It’s to offset the Panera mac and cheese and half chocolate chip cookie I had. And seriously – people – stop sending holiday gift baskets to the office. Your gift of chocolate covered everything is making my life tougher than necessary. Even though I love it. So maybe still send it…
Work Outs: I’ve been a lazy turd this week. I’m going to the gym tonight with Melissa and need to go on walks and stuff, it is just hard when it’s dark when you wake up and dark when you get home…booo
Goals for next week: I found my inspiration (or should I say, pinspiration) for our nursery and I LOVE everything about it…so maybe tonight we’ll make it up there to clean it out and maybe get some paint on the walls this weekend!
Thoughts: We found out today that Robert’s cousin and his wife (who we knew were expecting) are having a little boy! I couldn’t be happier for them and like I told Robert, it’ll be the perfect baby boy/baby girl cousin duo!! 😉 hehe
