We are officially a lime! Well not ‘we’, but the thing ‘we’ created! This means he or she is 11 weeks and growing like a week. Bracks is now almost fully formed, and from BabyCenter:
“Her hands will soon open and close into fists, tiny tooth buds are beginning to appear under her gums, and some of her bones are beginning to harden. She’s already busy kicking and stretching, and her tiny movements are so effortless they look like water ballet. These movements will become more frequent as her body grows and becomes more developed and functional. You won’t feel your baby’s acrobatics for another month or two — nor will you notice the hiccupping that may be happening now that her diaphragm is forming.”
My Symptoms: Still not much to talk about here. Waiting too long to eat has been my biggest caveat. So shoot me. Oh, and I’m bloated. Today I am able to button my pants. Yesterday – no chance.
Weight: Dun dun dun…from what I can tell from a couple of days ago, it looks like I’m up about 4lbs, but I’m hoping a lot of that was bloat and not actual weight (I mean, c’mon, it says up there that Bracks is only .25oz…) But we’ll see, I’m sure I’ll weigh in the morning and compare.
Gender: It seems as if we’ve got a good boy vs. girl battle going on now! I still have a lot of people who are certain that is it a girl, while others say they are positive it’s a boy. Only 9 weeks until we find out!
Maternity Clothes: Again, still in normal clothes, but went to Old Navy this week to check out the maternity section and was very let down. I’m going to try Target this week then who knows where else.
Movement: Nothing yet!
Sleep: Still love sleep. Actually stayed out late last night (um…is it bad that I consider 9:45 late??) and didn’t fall asleep on the couch until 10:30 or so? I didn’t want to get out of bed this morning though, but that isn’t out of the ordinary.
Cravings: Still loving on the peanut butter but have also developed a serious taste for Grapefruit (thanks, Robert, for buying them at Costco…Yay for 10 grapefruits! Already down 1…) and Christopher’s Runaway Gourmay Chicken Salad and marinated cucumbers. It’s cart food but the best chicken salad in the entire world. And the cucumbers I’m sure will end up giving me heart burn one day but I’m not sure I’ll care. A friend of mine also craved this when she was pregnant and there is no question as to why, it seriously is fantastic. I’m also a super nice wife and got Robert some to have too, but don’t think I didn’t get myself more to keep at work to have 🙂
so. freaking. good.
What I miss: Being able to stay awake past 10. I don’t really miss this, but every night I’m being nudged awake by Robert while I’m on the couch, which is a total role-reversal.
Work Outs: Did the half on Saturday and haven’t done anything since. I’m hoping to get out of work before 4:30 today to make it home so I can run 2 or 3. Had a chat with some ladies last night about my goals during this pregnancy while I’ll share in my next post.
Best Pregnancy Moment This Week: Getting Christopher’s for lunch today. I wanted it yesterday bad but the carts were closed because of rain. So happy they are open today. I promised the guy that next time I’d order in advance and go by the pound.
Questions/Concerns: Still no symptoms, but we go on Wednesday to hear the heartbeat so that should settle my nerves.
Goals for next week: Work 2 days, leave on Thursday for our Thanksgiving trip! My goal is to not cry when we leave our sweet puppy for the week. In case you didn’t know, I’m a complete and utter wuss when it comes to animals (I cried the ugly-cry when I dropped off our foster puppy when he was adopted…)
I know, right. He was half-on/half-off the couch and falling asleep. So. Cute.
Thoughts: One more week.
Just a super cute picture of Hallie – our dog-niece, from this past weekend 🙂
