Saturday was the day – the day I ran 13.1 miles!
It wasn’t easy…I was tired, then bored, then my feet hurt, then bored again, and then very tired, but I did it. All 13.1 miles. It was a run/walk effort but I am totally okay with that. My ‘goal’ (other than finishing, of course) was to finish around 3 hours.
My final time: 3:00:05. I’ll take it!
All of the runners (and a good portion of our supporters) after the race – such a great time!!
And a big, big shout out to Melissa, who killed her first marathon and looked fantastic doing it! We are all so proud of her!
Melissa with her Marathon medal!
Melissa and Scott (who also ran his first half marathon!)
So many firsts, so much to celebrate, and such amazing family and friends to celebrate with – what a great weekend!!
Thank you all so much for your support and and thoughts!! It was so great to see friends and family out on the course cheering on all of the runners, and I certainly ran into some of you all at the perfect time when I needed a push the most! All of your kind words mean so much and I really couldn’t be more blessed to have the amazing family and group of friends that I have – I’m one lucky girl!!
13.1 – DONE!
