Lately I’ve been trying to be more aware of what I’m eating and putitng into my body and trying to be more focused on exercise. I’m still doing Weight Watchers – i.e. getting back on track with Weight Watchers – and have been trying to go to the gym or ride my bike 4-5 days out of the week. It’s week 2 and I’m doing good so far!
Here are a few of the websites that give me inspiration for healthier eating, along with delicious recipes to try, and to keep exercising.
http://www.skinnytaste.com/ – Skinny Taste – TONS of delicious recipes that include nutrition (and WW points) for every recipe. There are so many I can’t wait to try, and some I already have – haven’t tried one I didn’t like!
http://ohsheglows.com/ – Oh She Glows – Creator of the ‘Green Monster’ – lots of all natural eating, vegan recipes (not for me but they can always be edited to include meat) and ideas for new items, like Quinoa and Bulgar Wheat. And the Green Monster is so good! It looks weird, but tastes wonderful, I recommend – plus it gives a great energy boost!
http://www.howsweeteats.com/ – Some delicious looking recipes – haven’t tried any, yet, but I will. The most recent post I definitely want to try – the Caprese Baked Egg Cups – oh my!
http://www.healthytippingpoint.com/ – Healthy Tipping Point
http://www.eatliverun.com/ – Eat Live Run
http://www.pbs.org/food/blogs/fresh-tastes/ – Fresh Tastes (same blogger as Eat Live Run)
http://www.dailygarnish.com/ – Daily Garnish
They all have their own stories and reasons for being Food and Wellness Bloggers, but I enjoy catching up with each blog.
A big thanks to Mary D for introducing me to a bunch of these. I’m sure I’ll stumble across more in my searches and I’ll continue to add to the list.
