No one is a fan of being sick. But when it means you get to take a sick day, or in my case “work from home,” it kind of makes the whole being sick thing a little bit better. A day that you get to stay home, but don’t feel like you have to do any of the things you usually have to do, like laundry, cleaning, washing dishes. It’s like a free pass to be lazy and not feel bad about it. And that is a nice feeling, even if it is accompanied with a stuffy nose, sore throat and dayquil/nyquil.
Lucky for me, yesterday was the most beautiful day we’ve had in a long time. I sat outside, watched the birds eat, the cats play, perhaps took a short nap, as did the kitties (they love to cuddle…)
Then they fought…I’ll post a video of this one day
Haha, guess who surrendered? Later, he shoved her off of the porch, just to add insult to injury. What a turd.
After Robert got home from work, I ‘helped’ him plant some stuff in the garden – strawberries, brussels sprouts (our favorite! I’ll post our recipe soon…they are so good), broccoli (not my favorite, so if it gets dug up, I won’t be too disappointed, hah), and lettuce. Hopefully Mother Nature has good plans for our Spring and will bring us tons of our veggies and fruit! I’ll post pictures of our garden soon.
I was able to make some new jewelry yesterday, some of which I posted on the shop yesterday and some that I’ll post today. It was just nice to have time to myself. Today isn’t going to be as warm as it was yesterday, but I’ll still do my best to soak up some Vitamin D and try to kick this cold.
