So I cant quite figure out the timing of this. I’m sure it won’t matter in a few weeks but, should I write at night about what I was grateful for during the day, or write in the morning about what I was grateful for the previous day, or just as the day progresses should I write when I feel something I am grateful for? This could get confusing…
I think maybe it might be easiest for me to write in the morning about what I am grateful for from the previous day. Writing at night would make the most sense, but since I work (and I use that term loosely) 8 hours a day and do the jewelry thing on the side, guess what I am most likely to be found doing at night? Nothing at the computer 🙂
I guess it sort of takes away the meaning of “today I am grateful for…” since it is “yesterday I was grateful for…” so you can see where I get stuck spinning my wheels.
I guess I’ll make this one an easy one and give a twofer (yesterday and today).
Today (and yesterday) I am grateful for our new iPad.
Without our newest little bundle of technological joy, not only would I not be able to blog at work (big thanks to Capital One for blocking anything that could cause me to maintain my sanity whilst having absolutely nothing to do…and I mean absolutely nothing…) but I wouldn’t be able to maintain said sanity during these 8 hours I am rooted in an uncomfortable and broken desk chair in my “agile” (yup, this girl doesn’t even have a cubicle to call her own…) with NOTHING to do.
So I am incredibly grateful to Apple and their insanely smart invention that is responsive enough that I can type at a fairly normal pace and not bruise my thumbs on my highly unresponsive PalmPre and its sorry excuse for a qwerty keyboard, and it has a battery life that has yet to let me down.
Also, the Apps!! Oh the Apps. GoogleChat, Scrabble, Gmail, WordPress (for the jewelry blog…warning – plug coming atcha – http://katiebdesignshop.wordpress.com), and oh so many more options to keep my mind busy and stay some sort of conscious.
I guess I should also give thanks to Robert for letting us use some of his bonus to purchase the new toy that I seemingly play with way more than he does, aside from the Verizon Fios remote app that I think is the only reason Robert agreed to buying the iPad in the first place (you can browse the TV Guide without hiding the screen! Hah)
So. Thank you iPad. Thank you a million times over. If I am lucky, I’ll get an iPhone to go with you in August 🙂
