I am on a roll! Day 3 and I haven’t stopped blogging or forgotten! I have a feeling that Robert and my friends won’t let me forget anymore, but that is ok 🙂
Today, we went to the orchid show at Strange’s and saw some pretty amazing flowers! If you have been to our house, then you have seen the several different varieties of orchids that we have (big thanks to Robert for keeping them alive) so it’s understandable that we would want to go see what all of the local orchid growers would have to show. It was pretty cool! Then we went to the VCU vs JMU basketball game with Scott and Melissa (JMU won by 3 points). It was a fun game.
Tonight, we went to Nile, a local Ethiopian restaurant. I have wanted to try it out for a while now, and luckily Scott had also wanted to try it out, so we drug our significant others, and Scotts dad, out to dinner. I guess I set my expectations too high because I wasn’t that impressed. Either it didn’t have much flavor at all, was way too spicy or was too similar to baby food. If you have never had Ethiopian food before, I’ll tell you that they don’t give you forks or utensils, only this bread-like stuff to scoop the food up with. It was interesting, like naan but not as good.
Today, I am grateful for back scratches:)
