This weekend, Robert and I found some time to ponder what we wanted to do with the rest of the house as far as paint options go.
Given that the morning room is blue, we wanted colors that would compliment each other, especially since from any one room you can see the rest (aside from the dining room, which I’ll get to later) of the rooms.
I decided that I good color for the foyer would be a lighter yellow, since beyond the foyer, the first thing you see when coming in the front door is the blue morning room.
Then, to tone it all down, we found a nice calm shade of grey-ish brown that would work for the great room and tie everything together.
The colors are:
The ‘Soft Blueberry’ is very similar to the blue we have, and the ‘Vintage Yellow’ and ‘Olivewood’ seemed to go with it nicely to give each room personality without (hopefully) overpowering anything.
We haven’t set anything in stone yet, but hopefully we’ll get some samples similar to these and find which ones work best within the next few weeks!
