It’s been a while, but back to wedding planning!
With less than 10 months to go until the Big Day, I have decided that it’s time to begin narrowing down my ideas for colors, types of flowers, centerpiece decorations and more. I’ve been perusing other wedding blogs for ideas for my own wedding and have saved a few pictures that caught my eye for longer than a second.
I’ve put all of those pictures together into an ‘inspiration board’ of sorts:
I LOVE that chandelier! Of course it probably came with that particular venue, but I’d love to be able to recreate this look as a centerpiece (since I doubt our venue will let us hang something from the ceiling). The table set up is great too, very soft and elegant.
The bows on the bamboo chairs are perfect! I think a lot of people would have used chair covers, but I love using the chairs as an element in your design instead of trying to cover them up.
Also, the centerpieces on the bottom picture are gorgeous! I believe those are hydrangeas (mom, don’t kill me if I’m wrong…) but I love how full they are and how they make a perfect bouquet. And I bet it only took 5 or 6 stems to make that arrangement…cha-ching!
Everyone always wants to have the most creative ideas for a ‘guest book’ or ways to well-wish the bride and groom. I loved the idea of painting a mailbox to go with your color scheme and providing ‘post cards’ for people to write messages to you. Very clever and original!
Upon searching for a style of bridesmaids dress that I like, I stumbled across this Jim Hjelm number from the Fall 2009 collection. Of course I had to befriend photoshop to make this dress black (the picture I saved was purple…) but I love the soft, flowy look of the dress. The silky material is so gorgeous, and I don’t know anyone who doesn’t look good in a halter. I’m not crazy about the bow/flower/embellishment on the front, but that’s probably something that can be removed.
I love the softness of the peonies in the top photo and the shape of the orchids in the bottom photo. I also love the bouquet stem embellishments!
There is so much to choose from and so many beautiful ideas, just need to keep looking and figuring out exactly what it is I want for my day 🙂
